What I found out about the conventions of music magazines.

  • Big Masthead.
  • One main Image on cover.
  • Main article headline on cover.
  • Quotes from main article on cover.
  • House colours, such as red and white.
  • Stick to one particular genre such as Indie.
  • Only two or three fonts used.
  • Bold colours, attract attention.
  • Often a free gift is included.

    Looking at these conventions will help me with my own magazine because and can use some of these ideas, because I know that these will work and be appealing to my target audience.
